UNITED WAY WELCOMES WORREL’S HAVEN AS NEW PARTNER
July 30, Shawnee, OK – United Way of Eastern Frontier Country is proud to announce Worrel’s Haven as its newest Partner Agency. This partnership reflects United Way’s ongoing commitment to strengthening local communities by supporting organizations that meet critical needs and foster long-term impact.
Worrel’s Haven is a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower recovering female addicts and alcoholics as they build a new life centered around sobriety. The organization provides a structured living environment where residents can heal, progress in recovery, and access essential local resources. Guided by the belief that “Connection is stronger than addiction,” Worrel’s Haven helps women establish the supportive networks they need for lasting change.
“Worrel’s Haven embodies the spirit of compassion and action that defines our partner network,” said Sandy Vanderburg, Executive Director of United Way of Eastern Frontier Country. “We are thrilled to support their mission and expand the resources available to individuals across our region.”
Rachael Cole, Executive Director of Worrel’s Haven, shared her enthusiasm for the new collaboration: “This partnership with United Way means more women in our community will have a safe place to heal and rebuild their lives. With this support, we can reach more women and build stronger families and our community. Together, we can help women take the next step toward a sober and healthy future. We are deeply grateful to start our collaboration with United Way!”
As a Partner Agency, Worrel’s Haven will have access to funding opportunities, collaborative initiatives, and community engagement support, all aimed at maximizing impact and improving lives in Shawnee and the surrounding communities.
